I kind old man who lives at the nursing home where my mother resides. He has Alzheimer.

Thanks, caretaker. Yes, too bad. A good friend met him two weeks ago at a Laurie Anderson show. Ah well, I'd probably only bother him with silly talk :)
All talk is silly. To be upset by it is a fool's desire, unless of course you're hungover, then silence is golden.
True. Luckily, being hangover has become an exception in my life (not due to having taken a permanent habit). Maybe I could test if my talk is not so silly as it used to be :)
